A super day 3 lay ahead at the 2020 AgBioEn Kooyong Classic and the talent on-court didn’t disappoint.

Nick Kyrgios topped off his Australian Open preparations with a 6-4 6-2 victory over Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.

After taking a leading profile on fundraising for bushfire relief, Kyrgios looked comfortable in familiar territory.

As popular as Kyrgios was at Kooyong, Stefanos Tsitsipas had many in the crowd cheering his victory Italian Matteo Berrettini 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (8-6).

As Tsitsipas (world ranked 6th) and Berrettini (8th) provided a close contest despite Tsitsipas saying that both players had ‘left gas in the tank’ for next week’s Australian Open.

Maria Sharapova took to the court for a second time this week at the AgBioEn Kooyong Classic.

While her first match was similarly close, it was Australian Ajla Tomljanovic that dominated on the scoreboard on this occasion taking the first set 6-1.

Sharapova returned to her better form in winning the second set 6-1.

A super tie-break saw both players ramp up the competitive streaks but it was Tomljanovic who too it out 11-9.
