Rain clearing at Kooyong

Posted on January 12, 2018

Finals matches are set to go ahead as planned at Kooyong today with weather forecasts predicting the early morning rain to clear and hold off until late afternoon. Our ANZ Hot Shots kids tested the courts with a few early hits.

Scheduled matches are for the men’s singles final to commence at 11.00am followed by the women’s final and the last match of the day will see 3rd vs 4th in the men’s tournament.

Tournament Director Peter Johnston is optimistic of getting the matches complete despite Melbourne’s notorious weather “We are confident of being able to play the men’s and women’s final, the players are all set and ready. They are adaptable to any changing conditions.”
