Began playing tennis at age 6. Father, Vlado, is a meteorologist; mother, Gordana, works in agriculture. Older sister, Ana, played tennis when she was younger. The tallest player (6’11”, 2.11m) to rank in Top 100 in history of ATP Rankings (since 1973). Wears size 17 shoes. Hobbies include basketball and movies. Favourite team is Miami Heat and his dream is to practice with them.

Ambassador for ACEing Autism, which provides meaningful benefits to children with autism by utilising unique tennis programmes, including Kids’ Day clinics at ATP World Tour events. ACEing Autism was awarded an ATP ACES For Charity grant for $15,000 in 2016.

Wife, Alsi (married Mar. 29, 2005), is Jamaican; daughter, Jada Valentina (born Sept. 15, 2011). Fitness trainer is Slaven Hrvoj. Broke back into the Top 20 on Aug. 15, 2016 at age 37, becoming oldest player in Top 20 since 43-year-old Rosewall on July 31, 1978.
